The Deaf Community Support Group provides a welcoming and accessible space for Deaf people to meet, socialise and receive practical guidance, assistance and advocacy from working professionals and community representatives.
Hosted at our Masonic Halls, the group offers an opportunity to access everyday support, share experiences and strengthen connections within the local Deaf community.
Freemasons and their partners across the Province are warmly invited to attend, engage with the community and develop their understanding of Deaf culture. There will also be opportunities to learn practical British Sign Language (BSL) signs and everyday phrases, building confidence in communicating with Deaf people.
No previous knowledge of BSL is required ā just a willingness to learn, engage and build friendships.
